Introduction
The internal struggle against insecurity is something that many women know, even though almost no one sees it. Today I reflect on everything that insecurity can cause in our lives. Insecurity is the lack of confidence in yourself to make a decision or carry out an action.
The battle no one sees
You may present yourself as a strong and confident woman, but deep in your heart you may be fighting an internal battle full of fears and doubts when it comes to making decisions, whether in your work, in your marriage, in your studies, or in your calling. Maybe you are struggling with wounds from the past that affected your confidence, such as rejection or abandonment. Or you may simply doubt yourself because you compare yourself with other people.
But I want to remind you of a biblical truth: the Lord heals the brokenhearted.
When insecurity limits God’s purpose
What you are living through has a solution if you place it in God’s hands. He is able to heal every wound within you. However, it is important to recognize and understand that insecurity can limit God’s purpose for your life.
When that feeling appears, many times it is because fear has invaded your heart and your mind. But the Word reminds us that God has not given us a spirit of cowardice, but of power, love, and self-control.
Strengthened to move forward
When we trust in the Lord, we receive the strength and self-control necessary to keep moving forward. I share this truth from my own personal experience: I had to learn to believe and to trust in what God had deposited in me.
When we understand that the Lord chose us and set us apart from our mother’s womb, certainty awakens in us that He equipped us with talents and gifts, not for our glory, but so that He may be glorified and exalted through our lives. In this way we fulfill the final purpose: to exalt our Lord.
But that is also where our responsibility comes in: to take action and decide not to live any longer in the darkness of insecurity. It is necessary to silence the voices that disconnect us from our identity in Christ, that confuse our value, and that prevent us from walking in the purpose that God designed for us.
Be strong and courageous
The Word reminds us in Joshua 1:9 that we must be strong and courageous. There is a part that belongs to us: to decide to believe, to move forward, and to trust; to make the effort, knowing that the Lord will be with us at all times.
Conclusion
Today remember this: to God you are valuable. Face insecurity by trusting in Him, knowing that you do not walk alone and that His grace accompanies you in every step.
